About Denver County Court Records

Court records in Denver County live across several offices: the Denver County Court at the City and County Building and Lindsey-Flanigan, the Denver District Court (2nd Judicial District), the Denver Probate Court (24th Judicial District), the Denver Juvenile Court, the Denver Clerk and Recorder, and the Denver Sheriff Department. Finding the right office on the first try is half the battle. This site puts the right portal, address, or phone number in one place so visitors do not have to bounce between government websites.

Why We Built This Site

Colorado gives the public broad access to court records under the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA, C.R.S. § 24-72-200.1 et seq.), the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act (CJRA, C.R.S. § 24-72-301 et seq.), and Chief Justice Directive CJD 05-01. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. Denver is unique in Colorado because the Second Judicial District is not a combined court. Denver District Court handles felony, civil, and domestic relations matters. Denver County Court handles misdemeanors, traffic, small claims, and municipal cases. Denver Probate Court runs probate and guardianship files. The Denver Sheriff manages the jail roster and custody status. Add the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Colorado Department of Corrections, and the Denver Clerk and Recorder, and the picture gets crowded fast. This site pulls together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each office.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Colorado court, the Denver Clerk and Recorder, the Denver Sheriff Department, the Colorado Judicial Branch, or any state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.

Keeping Information Current

Clerk offices move. Hours change. Phone numbers get reassigned. We update pages as we hear about changes, but gaps happen. Before you drive to the City and County Building at 1437 Bannock Street or Lindsey-Flanigan at 520 West Colfax Avenue, call ahead first.
